Is the M&P 9mm without the magazine safety CA legal. I was wondering if that's the model that's on sale at Turners Thanks

You'll need to check the SKU number of the Turners gun with S&W website, they list which ones are CA compliant.

No it isn't.

But you can order a sear assembly without the mag safety, or better yet remove the mag safety and use a spring that will keep the sear disconnect lever(I don't know the proper term for this part, but you'll know what I'm talking about, that yellow lever in the sear assembly) in place.

Let's clear up some things here. There is no "legal" regarding this issue aside from which guns an FFL is allowed to sell you. Owning a non-roster gun is perfectly legal provided it does not have features like a suppressor.

You can buy a gun which has a mag-disconnect and then remove that feature ... perfectly legal.
