Some stores do 11 day to insure that the weapon is not accidentally picked up a little bit early. Call him on the 10th day and see if he'll let you pick it up.

Although I've heard some places like TURNERS have an 11 day policy because their employee's are recruited from the McDonalds Drive Thru Window.

A PPT should be 10 days regardless of a company policy. Where did you do this PPT?

you can pick it up on the 8th after 12:30

on the side note.....maybe the store will be closed on the 8th and that was the reason why the guy told you to pick up on the 9th.

Some stores don't time stamp their reciepts. They do 11 days to protect themselves.

this might be it! knowing how busy gunshops are, they might not be thinking straight. the guys at my local gunshop always use the calendar to double check.

Both times I have recently bought handguns they made me pick it up on the 11th day. Probably the People's Police State has audited them and hassled them. Of course there is almost no crime in California so they had no better use for police resources.

Ten 24hr periods. Also if the store is closed on sunday, don't start the dros on a thursday

The receipt doesn't matter.... the 240 hours is from the time the DROS is submitted to the DOJ. You can process DROS at 5:45, then wander the store for another hour doing impulse shopping and actually pay for the gun at 6:45, your pickup time is still 501 in 10 days.

Yes, some shops do 11 days "to be safe"... it avoids the problem of someone coming in an hour early and being told to come back. Turner's Chino Hills did 11 days last year, but they are now doing 240 hours.
