    Nickel RIA.

I saw a silver looking (nickel I'm assuming) .38 super at my local FFL, it was a RIA model. Is this the only gun that RIA makes in that finish? I'd love to get one in .45 with that finish!

I just checked "the list" and it doesn't look like the .45 nickel finish is available for sale in California. I asked when I was at a shop and that's what they told me but I never confirmed until now. It looks like there is a stainless model .45 model is available.

Rock Island Armory 1911 9mm Tactical | Fusion Com Pro-S CF Trigger group | DP Fiber Optic Front Sight | Strike Industries Golf Ball Semi Gloss Grips |

Springfield 1911 TRP Operator | Strike Industries Sunrise Pistol Grip

    AR15 | LMT 14.5" | CMMG lower | VLTOR CAS-V | ARMS #71 Rear BUIS | Pinned BC 1.5 | Burris PEPR QD Mount | Redfield 2-7x33 scope |

    LR308 | TM-10 Lower | DPMS Upper, Chrome BCG | Rainier Arms 18" Select Barrel | ADM Recon 20 MOA mount | SWFA SS 16x42 scope |

I have a Nickel .45 Tactical RIA and it doesn't even compare to the shinyness of the .38 Super. It would be great to turn into a 9mm. Unfortunately I would like to have a commander hammer, beavertail, and better sights though .

Those are all things you can do with the RIA gi fs. The sights are the hardest part about what you just said. They are a B!TCH! But everything else is just money and time pretty much.

Just get the 38 super. However, its tough keeping the nickel clean. I use car wax to shine it up.

I got one paid off, just waiting for my 30 days to be up so I can start dros.
I seen it and just had to buy it. I know it's not that good a choice for my first 1911 but I love the polished nickel finish, it just looks so "gangsta".

I just love the look of it. I'd prefer .45, but if its not approved damn. I may just get the .38 super. I hope the ammo aint expensive.

Do you guys have any links of who sells polished nickel hammers and triggers? The standard ones that come on the .38 super look too plain.

I'm probally just gonna opt for the .38 super, the finish is just too awesome! I've heard that round packs quite a punch too.

the super is a fun round to shoot, just a bit more harder to find than 45acp. but you can always do the 9mm conversion and shoot more.
