Hi All,
This is a follow up to the thread I started the other day. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=414752
I got to take my new to me/used Dan Wesson PM7 to the range last night. I ran 100 rounds of the Walmart Federal FMJ ammo through it. 0 FT anything. This thing is a freaking tack driver! It definitely changed my perception of 1911's. My only previous experience with a 1911 was On Target's rental of the Springfield Mil Spec... the difference between my DW PM7 & the rental is night and day! I can truly say this 1911 is more accurate than I am. My first mag, I had a grouping of about 2" from 10 yds out!!! Of course throughout the 100 rounds I had a few strays, but when I concentrate & do what I'm suppose to, the gun is dead on, more accurate than I am. wow is all I can say. The trigger is crisp, no play, slide is tight.
So when I finished the 100 rounds, I decided to shoot the HK P2000 .40s&w that I got about a month ago just to compare. The first thought that came to mind was that the HK P2000 trigger felt like mush... compared to the DW PM7, I might as well have been shooting a shotgun, that's how bad my groupings were & how bad I was shooting the P2000. I'm trying REALLY hard to like this HK, but the DW might have just put this P2000 on the for sale market.
Here are the pics I posted in the previous thread.
