    New SigPro SP2022

After the longest 10 days of my life, here is my new SigPro SP2022 9mm. Picked it up at Cordova Shooting Center for $399 with Night Sights. Best price around, even the internet! I have nothing but good things to say about them; great place all around if you are in the area looking for a new firearm.

Will take some Hoppe's No. 9 to it and clean it up before first use. I have 2 extra magazines and 1000 rounds of MagTech Blueline (thank you Cabela's) ready to go for the range.

Decided to go with Federal 147gr Hydra-Shok JHP for home defense.

Great company. Good choice, it is a great "on a budget" gun. At least thats what I have read.

Nice price there, dude! Especially for an in-store deal. I thought a lot of people here got manuals that were black n' white photocopies. Interesting.

            congratulations.

don't forget the grease on the rails.

more unsolicited advice; ensure ammo compatibility with your Sig before cementing your relationship with said ammo for defensive purposes.

            by the way... good deal.

Nice Sig. If I see anymore of these 2022 threads, I will end up with one.

Newer ones have an external extractor.
Regardless - a great gun for a great price

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I can't wait to put it to use.

@ bsg: Thanks for the advice. I am definitely going to put some of those Federal rounds through the Sig before I fully commit. I will also be picking up some Gold Dots and Golden Sabers to see how the Sig likes them.

@ javi and vinny_land: The date on my Sig case is March 2011. Not sure if that helps to answer any of your questions regarding the Owners Manual or the difference in the rail.

Hahaha! I bought mine (Sig SP2022 in .40s&w) 4 years ago before they dropped dramatically in price. I paid $700 for it. I just have to laugh at how cheap they are now. I still don't know why. They are, IMO worth at least $500. The most under rated polymer pistol in the world IMO. I love mine and don't plan on selling.....EVER! Best damn stock trigger. The thing is as smooth as melting butter. I think its an even superior pistol to Sigs newer polymer pistol (the P250) IMO.

this one is mine...notice the rail difference. Ifalon finish, triple serials, made in Deuschland

@Exposed I did also pay a premium for my SigPro ($550ish)
