XDm vs. Apex M&P

I've enjoyed the heck out of shooting the XD9 and stock M&P9. But I've been reading too much calguns and it's got me thinking that I have to have a XDm single shot conversion or M&P with Apex mods. Yes it's a case of latest-and-greatest-itis.

Can any one make a comparison?

Apex Vs Canyon creek trigger job Apex still wins. Nothing wrong with Rich's work. Apex just wins. M&P will have more takeup unless you modify the trigger bar and trigger safety on the M&P. I prefer my competition apex trigger kit with RAM and with my modified trigger bar. Absolutely amazing.

I've never shot an XDM but have an XD and I own an M&P45 with the Apex tactical parts. The M&P with Apex is the way to go for sure.

Get a 9L/Pro and forget about it.

Here is mine before I shortened the take up.



Here is it after.... Yes all safeties are still in tact. 50% of the trigger travel you see below is the take up of the trigger safety. Once the safety slack is taken out is is a 2lb.10oz click.

The best way to see where my trigger bar is set at is to pull your M&P trigger and place the top of the trigger bar pin flush at the bottom of the frame. You will see that the safety will need to be refitted to accommodate the shorter trigger travel. No modifications were made to the trigger-bar-to-sear contact points other than a little polishing. You will see that this is .010 before the trigger bar contacts the sear.
