    Sig Pro P2022 9mm review?

    Anybody owns a Sig Pro P2022 9mm?

Whats your opinion on the pistol?

How does it compare to Glock 17 or M&P 9?

The SIG Pro is by far the best polymer framed pistol made by SIG Sauer. When SIG Sauer went polymer, they did it right the first time.

SP2022 is a good gun, I had it in .40 cal version, very competitive to my G23. never shot the 9mm and can't comment on that. When I had to let one of them go, I decided to keep the G23, for it's simplicity and accessories availability.

Good gun for the price but no comparison to M&P or G17

So all your negative sentiment on the gun is based on what you've heard and not first-hand experience? Just curious and nothing personal.. I notice you posting on other SigPro topics borderline bashing it and pretty much relating any positive reviews of it as reviews by "Sig fanboys"

i read about the availability and cost of parts as well

even the mags are more expensive?

i am trying to decide between glock, m&p,xd and sig pro (which seems to be a good deal and have a lot of positive review)

btw, is there an advantage to having the external hammer and DA trigger?

+100, that guy just hates sigs, dont worry about him.

OP, honestly there is still.......still a sig pro thread on this forum page and plenty of them behind it.

Double Strike, but its overrated anyways. The ability to go SA if you want is a plus to a hammer fired but frankly a Glock striker fired trigger isnt to far behind say my Sig P226 SA trigger, atleast in my opinion after a couple hundred rounds through it.

                            Agreed with all this said.

But also to add.. many feel safer of having a longer first trigger pull, especially for carry and don't want an external safety. The longer DA definitely makes the first shot more deliberate - not to say any shot shouldn't be deliberate, but you throw in the human variable in there and anything is possible.

As much as I like the SP2022.. I think unless there is something you specifically want such as DA/SA, the ergos of a Sig, etc.. more often than not, you're better off getting the Glock or M&P.
