    2nd P3AT

I just picked up a second P3AT, this one parkerized. My first one has about 250 rounds through it with absolutely no malfunctions at all. I'm sure the new one will be great also. My partner and I picked them up today in Sacramento. The store owner said that they also sold two this morning. They are selling as fast as they can get them. I have a PF9 on order and probably won't get it for months.

I know alot of people don't think too highly of Kel-Tecs, but I have found them to be reliable. At the range today, we were shooting a steel silhouette at 50 yards. It was easy with the M&P so I tried it with my friend's P11. Hitting the plate at least half of the time was easy. I was surprised at how accurate the gun shot.

I bought a P3AT after firing a friend's. His has had about 600 rounds through it and he carries it a lot since it is so small and easy to conceal.

Mine has about 300 rounds through it with no problems at all. I liked it so much I bought a PF9 which has about 150 rounds through it so far. I am very pleased with it also. Neither display the quality of my Colts or my Kimber but I wouldn't expect them to.
Both will be listed on my CHL (which will hopefully arrive soon!) here in NV. I may have to move back to CA soon and I'll bring these with me and register them. Unfortunately, a lot of what I own will have to go visit my son in AZ until either sanity returns to CA or I can leave again.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

I thought that Keltecs weren't listed on the "CA Roster of Handguns Approved for sale".

How is a store selling them?

I think the OP said him and his partner bought one, making me think he's a LEO.

I am talking about my WORK partner and yes I am a LEO. We bought two of the four the store sold that day. It's too bad this gun is not CA approved. It a great product. I hope the PF9 shoots as well.

If you love those keltecs, set them free (to me), if they love you back they will return, and if not you can buy a new one since you are LEO and I am not

I would really love to get one for my CCW but I cant add it if its not on the list. I wish they would get it tested and on there soon!

The Kel Tecs will never be on the CA list. Ever. Unless the list goes away.

I have a 3AT I got from a LEO in trade. The closest you can come to it easily is a Seecamp .32.

Does this mean that if I bring my P3AT and PF-9 and manage to get a CCW I can't list them? Even though they are on my NV and UT permits?

It just gets weirder, I really hope I can avoid moving back to CA.

Well crap, I didn't know that. Is that a state law or is it by the issuing agency? I have more handguns not on the approved list than on.
