    P380 and Self Defense Ammo

My dad just bought a new Kahr P380 and I was wanting to get get him some self defense loads(all he has now are WWB). I was looking at Remington Golden Saber among others and was wondering if P380's have any feeding problems with any of these rounds or will they eat pretty much anything?

I have searched around and some people have said that Win Silvertips and Corbon loads are the best for the smaller .380 pistols like the P380.

Any input on the which kind of self defense load to get would be appreciated.

    Thanks

There is a school of thought that for 380 ACP one should stick with hardball. Unlike 9mm which has overpenetration issues with FMJ, the 380 with does not suffer that problem. The JHP in 380 might not penetrate deeply enough and penetration has a trump card of the size of the wound.

I have Golden Saber for my Bersa, but if I were looking for a SD round in 380, I might consider using plain old hardball.

Definitely recommend the Corbon DPX ammo for self defense. Feeds just fine in the P380.
