    Sig Pro 2022

I have been thinking of picking one up at Turners. Seems like most reviews are positive but someone posted that Guns & Ammo did a review on the Sig 2022 recently and apparently it was not a good one. Can anyone summarized what the article said. Thanks much.

Nope. Use the search function. There's been plenty of posts on this. Not to mention if you think the article was right then don't get one.

I was just looking at a magazine in the grocery store today that had an article on the Sp2022, I think it was Combat Handgunner. I didn't read the article, but I thought I would mention it just in case you were interested.

It's a good pistol and good value. Mine was $399 but came with 1 magazine. It's accurate enough for me. At 25 yards I have no problem making headshots on the paper target. Last time I hit 19/20 shots and barely missed on the other. I had an issue with my gun not holding single action. I called sig and they emailed me a UPS package label to overnight the gun to them for free. 1 week later the gun was back. It sucks I had an issue with the gun, but sig customer service was top notch to me. All is good ever since.

His point was there's a new Sig SP2022 thread every other day. It's very easy to use the search function to find info on the gun, or you can just look 2-3 pages deep to find a thread.

-thanks locosway. In any case, OP don't be offended by my respone, we get one of these threads almost everyday. Its just too many, even though its on a gun I absolutely love. Simply put, the gun is affordable and very reliable. There was a bad batch from turners but other than that, sounds like everything is smooth with the pistol and was prior to the bad batch. For a poly SIG, its the best they make. As far as for the article, I haven't read it, but I don't see why they wouldn't recommend it. Its a great gun.

Got mine from Parallax Tactical (in .40) for $399. Yes it came with 1 Mag but CDNN has SigArms Mags - Yes factory mags - for $14.95 each.
My review - Barrel heavy when empty. Shoots well when full

Mixed reviews here and the worst part is that I see so many on sale which leads me to believe it is NOT A KEEPER. Yeah that review in the magazine was horrific. 3-5 inch group at 15yrds I think? That is terrible and the guys on there are good shooters. I am not a great handgun shooter but can get 3 inch or less on my FNP-9 (3 shots) and it comes with 3 magazines. This weekend at 15 yrds I called head shot and got it 5/5 against my buddy on a silhouette target. Then to the right facing me I called the little representation of that target and tagged it 3 times and that thing is tiny.

Do further reviews...It is a cheap gun and at one point I wanted one but the mixed reviews here and the magazine review all but killed it for further consideration from me.

If you can rent one go try it out.

Wow. I am blown away. More information that mis represents the SigPro.

Anyone considering one of the best valued guns ever, do yourself a favor and do your research somewhere other than CGN. Or shoot one for yourself.

It has a great trigger, it has good grip options, its an awesome price...
I don't know what shooting headshots with an FNP has to do with the Sig, and I haven't read the article, but the gun has been around for 10+ years. There is reliable information about it. But its not on Calguns (at least not a fair representation).

The reason people sell them is because people think they can make money on them! Plus people want to finance the latest and greatest super trendy Calguns gun of the week. (This week it is the RIA or SA 1911).

Pretty much. On the Sigforum its regarded by many as the most underrated/underrepresented gun.

Got mine from Turners back in July 2010. Lucky to have one that is flawless. Some got lemons. They have to send it back to sig....here's the thread http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=321860

I sold mine in a trade for q XD for my wife. I did like the 2022 and some day I day get another.

Just saw Turners new catalog, it seems they have the SP2022 in 40sw with nightsight for $429. If you like 40sw, I think it is a even better buy, $30 extra for night sight is a good price.
