It's a good first hand gun, I'm pretty sure you will buy something more expensive next time. Get it, get your self familiar with hand gun then buy another one that is better than you can afford. It's ugly compare to those $500 handgun but you need protection, better than nothing.

Back on topic. $800 is too expensive. $750 is a better deal for a used hi-point. Make sure you buy a few extra "clips" with it.

Everyone has thought about the high point one point in their lives. They should actually name the gun low point as we think about purchasing this gun when we are low in funds. So what i'm trying to say is i thought about it, after thinking about it, i did not get it. There are so many other guns you can get if you saved a little bit more, now a 140 price tag(new) does sound tempting but we rely on our guns to save our lives or the lives of our loved ones. Shoot my first gun was a Sig sauer p226, And since then have a decent size collection of other 9mm and 45acps. But one thing is common on all my firearms, They are all reliable, and i trust all of them to go bang when i pull the trigger.

I see a high point as one of those chinese scooters. sure they work fine when they work, but stuff start falling apart when you need it most.

Just a quick review...MS-13 is different than "13".

13 represents southern Cali. MS-13 is a drug cartel.

At my CCW class the instructor (whose background is extensive) said that the hi point regularly failed during tactical classes where they shoot aprox 1k rounds. My first pistol was a glock 17 with thousands down the pipe with zero issues.

I traded all my guns in for Hi Points.They rock.Why have Glocks and 1911's when you can have Hi Points.
