There are two proven platforms that rank high in the 10mm category.

    1. 1911

    2. Glock

    Pick your poison.

I must be thinking about the BrenTen then. I believe they licensed the frame, or frame design from CZ.

You could get A lar grizzly with a 10mm conversion kit.

The Colt Delta Elite is an awesome gun. Just another one on the list that I can't have right now!

1911 - Great trigger, some claim the design isn't strong enough for full 10mm loads. I've never had one in 10mm, so I can't really add much to that. I only shot two a few times.

Glock 20 and 29 - both are very nice 10mm platforms, in my opinion. The perceived recoil is actually less than that of the 10mm 1911 I've tried, which is weird given that the 1911 is heavier. It's probably due to the ergonomics. Yeah yeah, Glock ergonomics. It may look like a brick, but it feels comfortable in my hands.

EAA Witness - I have a Witness Elite Match originally chambered in .40. I bought a 10mm conversion kit from EAA. The gun shoots beautifully in .40, it's still very nice in 10mm, just with a bit more recoil. The recoil spring that came with the conversion kit had to be replaced with a heavier one though, it slammed back too hard with DoubleTap 155gr solid copper rounds. The .40 Witness mags work for 10mm.

I believe one theory behind the Glock recoil being softer is due to the polymer. The metal frames of 1911s have weight, but the lighter polymer of the Glocks have more flex.

Bore axis. It's all about bore axis. I'll admit, I'm a low-bore-axis whore!

Yeah, I forgot about that aspect. I do agree that guns with a lower bore axis are easier to control.

glocks also have wide grips, spreads the recoil.

flexible polymer spreads it over time, large contact area spreads it over area.

Depends where you live for one /shrug. I live in Calif. after looking around for awhile, at the handgun list and figuring prices I went with the G20 when i got mine. Easily available, decent price $540 local and legal.
