    Xp 100

I have a Remington Custom XP 100 in 223, heavy 15" bbl, with a Burris fixed 10X scope attached. I use Leupold QD mounts and often switch out a conventional 6 to 24X rifle scope - not enough recoil to worry about getting tapped in the eye.

The gun has a 1 in 9" twist - what is the heaviest .224 diameter bullet I can expect to use without stabalization problems?

Probably the 68-70 grainers, my 16" 223 rifle has no problem with the 70 grainers.

Seems about right to me. I checked out Grafs - had no idea the .224 dia bullets can go up to 90 grains.
