Making a KG-99 Ca Compliant?

Hey guys...I'm trying to convince my dad (out of state) to transfer his Interdynamic KG-99 to me. But I have a few questions:

Since it is not named in the Ca bad list, if I get a magazine lock, it should be OK to transfer via intra-familial transfer, right?

It does have a vented shoulder-thing-that-goes-up and a threaded barrel...but without a detachable magazine would it be good to go?

Also, does anyone know where I can get a magazine lock/bullet button for it?

This is the closed-bolt model, if that makes any difference.

I'm really hoping I can get my hands on this thing, it's sweeeeeeet!

You would need a bullet button/mag lock to go with 10 round magazines.

Yeah, he's got a few 20+ rounders that i'm going to build into 10 rd mags.
