CZ 75 compact SA

I changed my cz 75 compact over to sa from da/sa. I personally like sa guns better so I went that route. On this gun it has the fully adjustable trigger from cz custom. I also went with the wide sear that is for the 85 combat. This sear is only for guns with no firing pin safety. I also removed the firing pin safety so I could take full advantage of the adjustments on the trigger and to use the sear. The trigger now has about an eighth of an inch of takeup and a short reset. The gun has a 15lb. hammer spring and a dawson precision fiber optic front sight.

How's the accuracy with the compact vs the full size? Any noticeable changes in groupings at 10, 15, 20 yrds? I've been meaning to get either the compact or the P-01, but would rather get another sp-01 depending on the accuracy variances.

The fullsize is easier to shoot accurately than the compact because of the competition rear sight and the longer sight picture but the compact is no slouch. I shot the compact da/sa ( before it was converted) at the rockpile in perris last weekend and I got 3rd place with it in centerfire autos. Mark

With this trigger and the firing pin block removed virtually all the pre travel(slack) can be adjusted out. The trigger on this gun only moves about an eighth of an inch before it starts to move the sear. Then on the re-set the trigger only comes forward to re-set the sear which isn't as far forward it would have to go with the firing pin block installed. My regular 75 sa is set up the same way except it has the competition hammer which makes the trigger pull and reset even shorter. It has a trigger like a good 1911. Mark
