I liked my XDm-9 a lot. It felt great in my hand and fired nice and smooth. The only reason I sold mine is because I got it in a trade for resale purposes. Of course I put about 100 rds through it before I sold it though

Just needed a little trigger work and some night sights then it would be perfect.

Shoots well, fits good, no issues. Whats the problem? Mag kits are easy to mod to 10 rds too. If you don't like it, sell it and try something else.

It's my wife's favorite. I see no issues with the XD. The XDm has a few "better" features over the XD. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

trigger is gritty just like the xd but aside from that, its a good hd pistol.

i have one (avatar) and i love it. I sold my g17 to buy it

the trigger is not has crisp, hard, (whatever) as my m&p's. the grip is awesome, waaay freaking better than the g17's grip (IMO). I also love the sites. much much better than the sites the g17 had. The removable backstraps will help if you have big/small hands which is a big plus. if 3rd gen glocks had removable backstraps, I might have kepted the g17 alittle longer. plus it looks better also (sorry glock fans )

This could be fixed and then some with a good trigger job. I think the main drawback of the XD is the high bore axis. Increases the perceived recoil. Otherwise it is a good pistol.

you should have bought the gen 4 g17 instead.

@sirgiles.....the only way ill ever buy a glock again is if it feels good with the small backstrap. I doubt it will feel as good as my xdm or m&p

After I got mine I didn't really like it that mucdh. But after shooting it a bit more it grew on me. I would say you made a good decision - not the best pistol ever but should serve you well. Better than an XD im my opinion. Enjoy it!

Are the XDM's much slimmer now over the old XD? My regular old xd9 is too thick for conceal (out of state of course) its built like a brick. I was thinking about looking into the xdm since the xd has always been a good gun. Just wish is was more slimmer..

I think they are the same but I don't have an XD to compare. My XDM wouldn't bee too com comfortable to conceal IWB either - not that thin. I look for something < 1 inch.
