    Draco AK on a CCW?

    Hello,

Does any one know if one can place a Draco AK on his or her CCW permit (Sacramento)?

Now.. I doubt I would ever want to actually carry a Draco AK.. however maybe shoulder strapped may possibly work.

This question mostly stems out of curiosity.

    Thanks

Well, the permits do read "Pistol, revolver, or other firearm". I doubt that'd get approved but I has also wondered what "other firearm" means?

I was under the impression that the draco AK was technically a pistol? Is any one more familiar with Dracos?

It'd be funny to see you get denied just for trying to get it put on your CCW lol

Why bother? How would you effectively conceal it for EDC?

LOL. That would not be fun. However the people at the Sac Sheriff's office all seem like reasonable people and I am sure they wouldn't have a problem with something like that being asked. Now.. if I walked in there looking like a gang banger/drug dealer I am sure there would be some concerns.

Well I am going to only carry my P-32 for concealed carry 99% of the time as anything heavier would make me want to leave it at home. So I have 2 slots left for.. "well, why not".

And I could carry with a shoulder sling/large coat. Hypothetically speaking.

You actually think that's an effective "handgun" that you can operate safely and efficiently both strong and support hand only? What ammo are you going to use to minimize overpenetration?

Jeez could you imagine having to defend yourself in court if you had to defend yourself with a draco? Even my non liberal friends that don't mind guns all say my draco looks evil haha good luck with a jury.

It's a pistol and therefore falls under the category of "pistol, revolver or other firearm." Why not? None of the people asked me about my guns when I put my selected pistols on my permit.

No I did not say that.

As they shouldn't if you are a law abiding citizen. Thanks for the help regarding my question and lack of 3rd degree my fellow gun owner! Seems so hard to get a question answered these days with out someone shoving their opinion down your throat that has nothing to do with the question haha

Then why do it? Carrying it in an urban setting would be overkill at best IMO.

I don't think it'd be a good idea either, but it makes a fun thought experiment.

It does matter that you may be using your 7.62x39 "handgun" in lawful self defense and hit an innocent person from overpenetration or lack of control since many defensive shootings are up close one handed. It's something you should think about instead of being closed minded thinking someone is 'attacking' you.
