    VP70

Anyone ever handled one? I know they are rare and not legal for us to get, but has anyone been to a big shooting event where someone had one on display or to shoot? I love the look of this and just got an old article on it showing how it works. Fascinating pistol.

I owned one for awhile,, ditched it and got a Glock. VP70 is too heavy, unwieldy, and about a 20LB. trigger pull that will actually pull u off target when u exert force to pull the trigger. Worst handgun i ever owned. Sorry to burst your bubble but they suck. JT

Yea I heard there triggers werent the best in the world, but even so, I just meant for the value of owning or shooting one. I've heard a few buddies who said they shot one back in the day. Obviously nothing over Glock but it was pretty interesting pistol.

The trigger is crazy heavy. The most interesting thing I find about them is the front sight. The "blade" is actually a shadow inside a channel. Quite unique. You must see it to believe it.

I am always looking for Beretta D models in 9mm or a Compact Type M.

            That sounds neat actually.

There's a weird old HK for just about everyone. Mine's the bizarre HK4.

How many calibers do you have?

It was the first time I've seen it on the webiste. I don't remember the location nor the number of rounds in the magazine. The gun was there for about 2-3 weeks. From what I recall, they rated the gun 60-70%.

                        Check turners: http://www.turners.com/shop/gunlisting.php

they do have some unusual guns occassionally. Too bad they don't list out all the consignments. I went to the Westminster one time and saw a Wildey on consignment, but it wasn't on the website.....

This was in Chino Hills Turners about 1 month ago. I go there for lunch and I was surprised to see something so old in the case. I was impressed with the look but didn't touch it.

You probably didn't miss much. Functionality-wise it seemed like a bad choice. If you are into vintage HKs then it'd be ok.
