    Sig 226 compact...

WHY can't they make one that can share magazines. I love how the G26 or G19 can use G17mags. Same as M&P full-size or compact. The sig 239 is a great great shooter... But not mag compatble. I can dream

I have those too but they're not mag interchangeable... Are they ?
          Besides. Still not "compact"

I run my 18rnd 226 mags in my 228 all the time. A 228 is just as compact as a G19. Or are you thinking of a sub-compact?

Supposedly, Sig is coming out with a chopped P229 later this year called the P244 or something like that. Who knows if it will materialize but I've read about it. Indeed P226 mags work great in a P228/P229 but they stick out a bit. I personally wish they'd make the P-series double-stacks thinner and lighter.

The 228 and 9mm 229 will both take the magazines from the 226...and they are the same size as the G19, which I would consider a compact

The P239 is a single stack mag and the P226/P228 is a double stack mag. It would be impossible to make the mags intechangeable when the guns are different formats. The others are correct, the P228/P229 will accept the P226 mags just fine.

Wow. There you have it. Now, what someone needs to develop is a little spacer/adapter that slides down to the base of the 226 mag to make it look/feel as if it belongs on the 229.

The spacer exists, they just stop making them. I have one!

I guess subcompact is more what I'm looking for. However stoked my 226 mags fit Into my 229. Now I just have to get a 40->9 conversion barrel. That is sweet.

I think the only thing that comes close with H&K's is that you can use USP Compact / P2000 mags in a P2000SK. I have a couple that I use with my P2000SK with the X-Grip spacers.

I don't know what (if any) FULL SIZE pistols that will share mags with their SUB COMPACT counter parts. Even if they fit, they would stick out so much they would be awkward.

Well, with Glocks, I guess it would be similar to using a 33-round mag in your G17.
