How do I remove a glued on laser mount?

Way back in the day I put a Leupold laser on my 92SB. I had to glue a mount to the frame. Is there some kind of solvent that I can use to remove it from the frame without melting the finish?

    Thanks
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

If you used superglue or similar product acetone will remove the glue but be careful with this stuff because to much could remove some of the finish. I have had to do this a few time myself, it really works.

I've used 3M adhesive remover to remove glued on car trim and it doesn't harm the car's finish, I have no idea if it's safe for a gun's finish though.
