.45 XD Compact ?

Well I'm thinking of buying an XD compact in .45 anyone here have a opinion of them? Seems well made and very similar in grip angle to the 1911. Not much info on search.

Similar grip angle to the 1911, very natural shooting position.
I bought mine 2 months ago and have put 800 rounds (all FMJ) through it with no FTF/FTE.
I tried a lot of manufacturers and various models (Glock, SIG, S&W M&P) before I settled on the XD. For me, it fit my hand the best and was the one I shot most accurately. Glock was a close 2nd in accuracy, but I didn't like the fit in my hand as much.
Also, the felt recoil in the XD is less than my .40 cal Ruger for both me and my wife.
The Compact is great because with the extended magazine, it is identical in grip length to the Service model.
All that being said, shoot a variety before deciding to ensure the gun is the one that fits YOU best.

I just got my Compact back from Springfield Custom. I spent nearly as much on the work as I did for the pistol, but it's a sweet shooting pistol for sure now.

My hands are small, so the compact fits me better. If you have any interest in a XD45 Service model, drop me a line. I think I'm going to sell mine.... Now that I have the Custom Compact, I don't really have need of it any more....

Yup xdtalk is the place to go. XD is a great gun i also have a service .45 this gun rocks will eat ne ammo you feed it. i have 2000 rounds thru it n 8 months

Oh and you could have just cut your service down to make it a compact
