I found out these guys are based in rocklin they have a couple of used (factory recertified) sig 226's in 9mm for $550. Worth it? anyone dealt with TDS guns before?

I have seen them in person. The finish is pretty worn on them. They truly are "used" guns, not what they have on their site. Great shop, but I would look elsewhere if that's an issue.

      Used SIG condition guide:

I’ve had a handful of e-mails asking how to tell if a used Sig is still in good shape or not. After writing the same e-mail over and over for the last five years, I figured it was time to post my thoughts on what to look at when you’re going to purchase a used…

if its used you want to "see it directly" - the pix on the site look like a stock picture.

Check the slide rail, barrel and frame for excessive wear. I would be more worried about internal wear through usage then holster wear...

All of the Sig CPO's that I have bought or seen have been refinished.

Where does it say that these are factory recertified? I might be overlooking it.

LC Action had used p226 and p228 models for ~ $375 some time ago.

Sig CPOs are usually pretty nice. I just dont see CPO in the ad unless I missed it some where.

Went to TDS to check out the used sigs also. In the pics they show a new sig. When I got to the shop and looked at the guns they were hammered. Spent the extra coin and bought a new one. Check around. TDS is a little pricey. Good service though.

I was at TDS a couple of weeks ago and they had some hammer Sigs in from Hernon, VA. If those are the same, they are not CPO need to be tuned up.
