Star SS Hammer Bite

Hi folks... My wifes star is a neat little pistol but that hammer sure does chew into your hand. Its definately from the hammer. Ive looked for a Star bobbed hammer but cant seem to find one. Besides the hammer or wearing gloves any suggestions? Holding the pistol lower on the frame just isnt comfortable.

The classic fix for hammer bite is shortening the spur a little.
Don't go too short or it will be hard to cock or control the hammer when de-cocking.
