You must be new here. The color matters to the roster. Doesn't look like the 226 Combat is listed. I believe the 220 is, though.
Then another horse PONY came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a huge sword. My kinda guy.

From my understanding, Sig has to submit papers to the ATF in order for them to make it CA legal. Sometimes that never happens, so it's considered a off-list. I could be wrong. Maybe someone can chime in on this.

Frame color doesnt matter, I got a Pink Sig Mosquito for my girlfriend to use at the range with me, and that is not rostered...

It's not the color in the case of the combat, it's that fact that it is a combat. If the combat had a black frame, it would still not be rostered.

I have a combat in 220 (rostered) and Pink Mosquito (rostered but not in pink, doesnt need to be):

You are incorrect. Color does matter as most manufactures delineate the difference in color by changing the model number.

The Pink sig mosquito is model number MOS-22-PINK

              The only rostered Mosquitos are
              Mosquito (Blued)
              Mosquito (Reversed Two-Tone)
              Mosquito (Two Tone)

The MOS-22-PINK does not show in the drop down menu in the CA DROS system because it is not on the roster.

The dealer that sold you that mosquito better hope that his POS system does not have the gun in the system by SKU, otherwise he will have paperwork showing he DROS'ed you a non-rostered firearm, as well as having the firearm on the DROS not match the firearm on the 4473.

He should prepare his anus if the DOJ audit catches that one.

On what do you base your statement that the color does not matter?

Color DOES matter but some FFLs illegally sell then by leaving the color off paperwork or using a generic pt# and description. Ive seen it personally....

Oh yeah? You may wanna rethink that 226combat. I like it too... But you'll never find a good molded holster because the rails are true 1913std and don't fit. I have a 220combat an it won't fit in any of my bolsters. My 220 carry and 226 blackwater tac fit great...

Tagua's leather P226 Holster fits my 226 Combat perfectly. They have one for the 220, may want to check them out.
