    Springfield 1911 going rate?

    Hey all,

What are most cali dealers charging for a springfield 1911? I'm in the market for a new handgun and I definitely want a springfield (lifetime warranty). There's also several models of the SF 1911... what would you guys recommend for a student on a budget?

    Thanks!

SA 1911s NIB start from $500+. Determine how much you want to spend then look at the models in that price range. My MC Operator was $1250 NIB but well worth it to me. 45ACP ammo is not cheap either. Good luck in your search.

A good friend of mine recently purchased a SA loaded in 9mm. Great pistol, very accurate and worth every penny of the 870 dollars or so that he paid. I think he got it from Budsgunshop.com

If you're in San Diego i believe the Springfield Armory truck is coming to both the Project 2000 range at to Discount Guns shortly...they usually offer some nice deals.

I just bought a SA 1911 Loaded-Parkerized with Trijicon Night sites (PX9109LP) from Faith Armory in Temecula for $849. I get to bring it home on Friday.........

I purchased a PX9109LP (Loaded Parkerized) for $899 NIB in January. When I picked it up after 10 days, I saw the same model in the case for $849 (annoying!)

I experienced problems with the ejector and many failures to return to battery. Springfield took care of it and got it back to me, over about two weeks, and now it runs great.

Buy a mil-spec and build on it. Tons of fun and you get a chance to learn the 1911 in and out.
