Bersa Thunder 380 - Slide Release?

I took possession of a new duo-tone model today. My initial impressions are favorable. Considering its price tag, good fit and finish for a small autoloader. Feels very comfortable in hand. So far, all the good reviews I've read/heard about this pistol have lived up to it.

Took it to the range this evening and only had enough time to put 50 rounds (FMJ) through it. Its ALOT of fun to fire! Very comfortable recoil, though my marksmanship could be much better.

There was one issue I was concerned about. With the slide back and locked, I "tap" a full magazine in, the slide immediately snaps forward. I read somewhere that the first round sometimes makes contact with the slide release inside the action and causes this.

Has anyone else experienced this or have advice? I'm wondering if this is a known issue, or just something I need adjusted?

On many semi-autos its common for the slide to return to battery when forcefully inserting a mag. Nothing to worry about.

About the top round coming in contact with the slide release on a Bersa .380...mine does that, but it would not cause the slide to return to battery as the top round would push the slide release up, not down.
