Got a strange model 65 on trade from a friend few years ago. Heard it was worked over in Jovinos NY. was looking at it tooday a d found small maerkinfs I can nardly see. Looks like USN. 6. ????? Did navy ever use revolvers?

Most of jovinos work was cutting down smiths to 3 inch or so but since the 65 already came in a short barrel I don't know why someone would pay to have jovino make something that is already factory made. I know someone was able to get a letter from smith saying the gun original shipped to jovino.
I have a 13-3 3 inch that I have been trying to find a matching 65

I'd bet a kidney the Navy used revolvers. Helicopter flight crews used them so the spent brass wouldn't mess with the controls.
