I love the way the Walther p99 fits/feels in my hand, and I love the way it shoots. I want one, but I'm thinking about checking out some other similar hand guns. Any suggestions? Any pros and cons about the P99? Thanks

My Walther P99 AS is an accurate sweet shooter. I have no rants.

Also check the HK P2000, the classic SIGs, sigpro, and GLOCKs.

Walthers have been around the block.
Their p22 sucks!!!!!!! don't get one. but other than that they are good guns.

Awesome gun. I currently use it for HD since I don't shoot it much. The DA is light, the SA's reset is very very short. I like the hidden decocker on the slide, makes the gun's profile very slim for a double stack. My only gripe is the snappy recoil, it snaps a bit for a 9mm polymer pistol.

This is with a 1st gen P99. Otherwise the gun is very, very well built.

P99 is a superior pistol---mine is S&W SW99 .45 (S&W/Walther worked together on this one) and actually I LIKE the magazine release far better than the usual Colt type button.
