Anyone have a .45 usp compact?

Me and my buddy are thinking of getting these for hour 21st birthday. They only have one at my local FFL, so I'm going to have to end up getting it ordered. Normally the compact series has the most issues but I've heard nothing but good things about this caliber in the compact size. You guys tried this particular model/caliber? Is it true that the HK now has an adapter for any light as opposed to there older rail system?

I should have mentioned, this is a fun/range gun. I've always wanted to have a .45 HK, this is not for HD or anything.

I have one. I love it. Talk about a durable gun. I originally bought it for concealed carry but its just a little to bulky so now its just one of my tactical .45s. The only thing I regret now is I should got the full size. I have a few friends who have the full size and it fits my hands better (i have large hands). Something to think about if its just a range gun. Either way can't go wrong with an hk

Yea my go to gun is my Sig and Glock, but I remember shooting a .45 compact with some leo's a long time ago and it was a damn sexy pistol. In any case for you HK fans, if I get stuck with it being the standard safety version, isn't the trigger/hammer able to be changed to decocker only? (V1-8 or w/e those versions are called?).

And yea normally I always and I mean ALWAYS, opt for the biggest gun I can get but honestly I like the compact version. I always heard mixed things about the .40 C but the .45 I like.

My TLR-3 fit fine with no rail adapter. It was the standard model too (they make a USP specific model). I also owned a surefire rail adapter. Think they called it a mr-06 or something like that. Awesome piece but a little pricey. The one gg&g makes is good to go and costs a little less. The USP is my favorite pistol. Hope u guys enjoy it

Good to know I dont have to buy an adapter, all I use are TLR1's and a M3 on occasion when my friend brings his. And I get that everyone keeps pushing for the HK45C, but is it really that much thinner? (never held the HK45). And is the LEM worth it?

Isn't the lever able to to be switched out with a factory decocker only?

I have the DA/SA version, but I'm interested in purchasing a P2000 and I will for sure be getting the V2 LEM and swapping it out to the lighter V1 springs.

The DA/SA trigger isn't too bad, the DA is long, but the SA is short and light.

The LEM in V2 is the heaviest of the LEM's, but it still is pretty light in my opinion. About the same pull as that of a Glock.

Ok, so basically its gonna be a tad thinner since its DOA and has no control lever? I figure that actually may not be a bad combo to be honest. I never thought about there DOA option. I like the idea of a constant pull. The only guns I like doing DA/SA are Sigs and Beretta's but I actually used some HK's at some range visits and it was DA/SA.

It sounds like a V2 and LEM is going to get close to Glock territory with its trigger pull/operations?

I bought mine used off of a fellow calgunner. I love it. I normally would go full sized, but with the pinky extenions my hands fit fine. Shoots great and is reliable.
