Single shot pistol question...

Is it legal to modify a single shot pistol to factory specs after purchase/DROS in CA?

Pistol I am referring to is not a converted rifle it is just a standard off list pistol with the magazine internal of the grip.

I tried to search this topic but can't find a solid answer.
