I picked up one of these on impulse about a month ago, then learned of all the mixed reviews. Those kind of killed my buzz, plus I got busy, but today I finally took it to the range.
Mine is an American-made version, with factory night sites, no LCI, and an internal extractor. It came with one mag and extra grip and is a .40. It seems that there a many different versions.
I ran about 300 rounds through it, of about 4 different types. The gun ran perfectly; not one FTE/FTF or F anything else. A couple times I pulled the trigger and got no bang, but figured out I wasn't letting it re-set, so that was on me. Also, I thought these had magazine disconnects, but when I inserted the mag, racked a round into the chamber, removed the mag, and then pulled the trigger - there was a noticeable bang. So mine at least will fire without the magazine.
I also took a Kimber TLE and Beretta 92, and perhaps just because I'm much more familiar with those, I seemed to shoot them better and maybe even enjoy them more. I might be spoiled by the Kimber 1911, so while the 2022 trigger was fine (the DA is very heavy of course) I didn't find it remarkable. But this Kimber does have a great trigger.
Anyway, I hate to start another 2022 thread, but this info would have been useful to me, since I was feeling a bit mixed about this gun and was expecting a long day of repeated disassembly, cleaning, and trouble-shooting. Instead it ran great.
