S&W 66-1 value

I have a buddy that has a S&W 66-1 with what I believe is a 2.5" or 3" barrel that he is selling. the 66-1 is literally in like new condition. She is pinned and recessed as well. Unfortunately there is no paper work or box, just the sidearm. Wish there was a way to put a pic of her on here. Serial # is 86k9XXX. Any idea when she was made and what the value could be around. I don't want to rip him off or get ripped off myself. Thanks
