Ok cool, I'll give that a go this evening. thanks for your help man.

I didn't know they made an LED upgrade kit, $50 doesn't sound too bad. Where did you order from?

So I've tried both latch bars numerous times and it's still noticeably loose. I dunno what the deal is at this point, I've emailed Insight and they're saying it should work. As far as I know the p226 equinox has the same exact rail specs as any other p226 out there, not sure why that would be any different.
Oddly enough it fits perfectly snug on the rails of my rifle which are standard picatinny (1913).

That makes no sense at all, unless there is a problem with your pistol. The frame rails on them are standard 1913, as far as I know....

Surprised your having issues with it mounting. Are you sure the bar that locks in is correctly positioned?

Yeah, I slide it on the front unit clicks into place on the rail, the latches are positioned so that the ramps slide onto the rails. The latch bars themselves lock in solid but the M6X is what moves around. It doesn't move much, but any movement on a rail mounted aiming device isn't proper in my opinion.

Just to prove I'm not crazy I made this quick video:

I'ts not like it's sliding back and forth a great distance, but it's my understanding that anything going on your pistol should be mounted solid, with no slack whatsoever. I had a veridian X5L mounted previously and had no issues with it. Main reason I decided to go for the M6X was for the holster options.

Likewise. It's starting to make my head hurt. The only thing I can think of is that the rails on my Equinox are somehow different than your Sig (and every other 1913 I've tried), even though I have no idea why that would be. It also fits the Surefire rails on my Rem 870 forend perfectly fine as well.

Maybe theres a chip of material torn off on the rail on the actual light rail. That might be causing it to sway a bit.

Doesn't appear to be any chips or imperfections in either the M6X or the Sig rail.

Haha, yeah, the universe has spoken.
I'm done trying to figure it out, it's time to return it and go for something else.
