    Caliber Conversions

Have a question regarding conversions in general.
When going from a .40 to .357s or vice versa... I realized the case diameter is the same on those, but say one of those to a 9mm?
Do the same factory magazines still hold and feed a different round?

Well it is difficult to say since we need to know what brand of model you are talking about. As far as I know, most .40 S&W magazines will feed .357 sig. However, 9mm will not feed properly, if at all due to the width and angle of the feedlips. The shape of the follower may be slightly different as well. In order to shoot 9mm from a .40 framed gun, you will either need to get a conversion barrel or switch out the entire upper receiver. You may have to change recoil springs. You will usually have to use 9mm magazines as well.

      Well conversions in general...

I know you can buy barrel conversions in all sorts of configurations for Glock... So lets say I have a barrel conversion for the G31. One in .40 and one in 9mm. In theory I might be able to utilize the same magazines to fire the .40... but what about 9mm?

      Or a G22... going from .40 to 9mm?

Yep plus you might need to change the extractor and/or ejector, YMMV and testing at the range will let determine that.
