    Picked up my G17 RTF and hit the range

    I picked up my Glock 17 RTF this morning and I just got back from the range (Insight). I put 100 rounds through my new LWD 10-40 barrel on my G20, and then I put 200-300 rounds through my Glock 17 to start the break in process.

    I couldn't be happier with my 17, the fit is good, and the RTF finish is excellent. The photos of the targets are 2 rounds per second, not rapid fire, but fast"ish" fire.

    Congrats on the RTF. I have a 22RTF myself, that I picked up from a fellow local Calgunner. It's got the best grip in the Glock line, IMO. Digging that collection of weapons you have in that first pic.

      Your damn lucky. I love my standard G17, but would love to have a RTF version, or better yet the RTF version with crescent serrations!

        I just picked her up from Turners, $499.98.

        I wish my G20 was RTF, now that would be awesome on a whole new level!

                RTF = Gen 4?

                i didn't think the RTF was cali legal either. i just bought a gen 3 Glock 17 last week and inquired on the Gen 4 and was told that i was prohibited from getting it. Also heard it will never be legal in cali most likely. Sounds like some people are getting around this by doing a single round conversion. not sure what that's about, but i'm sure it adds money to the purchase cost. when considering everything i want in a pistol, a gen 3 is a lot more reliable and the mag release can be modified to match the Gen 4. Now i just have to wait another week.....

                  The RTF is gen3, not gen4. The gen4 most likely will never be CA legal.

                        The G19RTF2 is not on the CA list though or else I would get one to go with my G17RTF2 for sure...

                          The 17 and 22 are the only ones in rtf that are on the ca roster.

                          I picked up my G17 RTF2 last year from turners for the same price. I love it, but for some reason i shoot horrible with it at close range (low and left) When im at the desert i can shoot it accuratly from 50 yards and out. You would think opposite. Very weird

                              Just for clarification:

                              G17 RTF2 is on the roster. G19 RTF2 is NOT on the roster. Alot of dealers have been drosing G19 RTF2s as regular Gen3 though.
