      No break in.

Just load it at the range, aim at your target and unload. That's the break in

Clean it, shoot it, clean it, shoot it, repeat...did I mention shoot it and shoot it some more?
              It's a GLOCK, it ROCKS

Just hit the 2k mark with my G23 yesterday at the range. Couldn't be happier with my "snappy" gun (seriously though, every other person I encounter with it says, "ohh thats the snappy one" or "it's snappy huh?") I just smile and think to myself, must have a limp wrist or grow a pair

500 rounds of any ammo. After that you should purchase another 500 rounds of ammo and keep shooting. Keep repeating this process until you're broke, then clean your gun while you wait for more ammo to show up.

I'm on my 3rd Glock now (21sf, 17 and 22), all new from the dealer. I haven't yet found any of my Glocks need to break-in. They all work 100% right out of box.
I apologize ahead, when I'm tire/sleepy, my 3rd world English will sneak out.

A Glock with 500 rounds through it is so much smoother than a new one. I find the break-in process a much needed thing for the Glock, but not because it's not reliable, but just to smooth out the workings of it.

Glock break-in procedure? Clean it when you get home then go to the range and: Shoot the hell out of it. Clean it after shooting. Go shoot the hell out of it some more. Clean it after shooting. Wash, rinse, repeat.

They really don't need much breaking-in... they just become smoother the more you shoot them. Unless something is really wrong with them... Glocks generally just run right out of the box. They're not going to be tack-drivers... but that's not their job. That said, I do KNOW that if I need to, I can hit targets 50 yards out (or further) with my Glock if I do my part. That being said, if I have to engage someone that far out... I'd rather have a rifle.

I never clean my Glocks until 500-1000 rounds in. I then wipe out all the factory crap and lightly lube it with CLP.

I've found that my Glocks run fine almost dry with lube just in a couple key areas. In fact, Glock recommends not lubing some places to help with debris removal. If you have a lot of lube it can cause a malfunction from buildup.

For accuracy, I've yet to meet a shooter who can shoot better than a Glock. Where I aim is where the round goes. I think the biggest limiting factor on the Glock is the blocky sights, which are far from the target blade sights on custom 1911's.

I've shot my Glocks 9mm and 10mm out to 250 yards accurately (hitting a man sized target). They may not carry a lot of energy by that distance, but they can get the job done if need be. Sure, a rifle is better, but it's good be proficient with your handgun at different ranges.

I bought my 19 from a range and when I picked it up after 10 days I took it straight to the lane and put 100 rounds or so through it. The thing seemed grateful that I didn't take it home to clean it first, it's a shooter plain and simple.

That's one of several great things about Glock products: battle-ready and reliable.
