    XDM 40S&W in Burbank

I was at new Gun World in Burbank today and found a Springfield XDM 40 cal. in their used/consignment case, pretty nice gun it was cool to actually hold one. The gun was 600 bucks, but sold with no magazines for some reason. Anyone got to shoot one of these, how is it? I'm thinking of maybe buying it but don't know if it's worth it.
Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

Sounds like a fair deal if you want an XDm. Since it's not on the roster that's not too bad of a price. Despite my screen name I'm really not that big of on XD fan, but if I was I'd be all other that deal.

I also don't care for 40 caliber at all. I'm more of a 9mm and 45 guy. To each their own though.

      not bad.

No mags because HS/srpingfield doesnt make any .40 cal 10 round mags.

Well I'm not too crazy about a 40s&w myself all of mine are 9mm, 38/357mag and 45acp but the gun felt really good in my hand, if it was a 9mm I would buy it on the spot I think.

I may be in the minority but I enjoy the 40. The XDM likes the 40 also once you put a solid guide rod in it. It is a very nice pistol and that is a good price if you can get mag kits and work them (very easily) to 10rds.
I buy 40's with the understanding that I can do a 9mm conversion at some point but never do.

I have owned a XDm .40 for 2 years, bought new and have really enjoyed it. So far only about 1500 trouble free rounds fired (it has to share training days with my other guns). The .40 S&W is a fine caliber and the XDm .40 is a fine full size service gun. The other poster is correct S.A. does not make 10 round mags for it. But others here have CA. legal 10 round XDm's so it has been done. The XDm was designed from the get go for .40 the 9mm and .45 followed later.

OD XDm .40 along with Glock 22c

P.S. I believe the $600.00 price is the best I have seen for a used XDm here in CA.
