Lugers were chambered in 7.65mm or 9mm. Can't really tell by the pics. Most Lugers are 9mm.

Does the muzzle have a 30 cal hole or a 9mm hole? The chambers are the same from that angle.

It appears to be a 1906 American Eagle, made by DWM. If I am correct it is in 7.65mm, and there were about 8000 made. If all of the numbers match and it has not been refinished it is worth quite a bit of money.

Nice looking gun! I always wanted one. But, I still think the best pistol the German's used was the browning hi power ;P

The 9mm and 30 cal use the same mag. Try to put a No.2 pencil in the bore. If it fits it is a 9mm. Very nice gun and it does look to be a 30 cal.

Yes, it's very hard to tell from the picture, but in my opinion I think it looks like the 30cal myself. But very hard to tell. Post when you find out what it is so we know if we were right.

The number 2 pencil does fit with no problem so does that mean for sure that it is a 9mm? dont want to list it on gun broker unless im sure. oh and he left it up to me to find out the value.
The 9mm bullet i have doesnt seem to fit into the end so it must be 7.65 and i also think it is a 1906 american eagle.

Like it was said before, get a dummy 9mm round and see if it fits. If it does, it's a 9mm. If it's too big, it's a 7.65. Once you find out, search accordingly on gunbroker for the value and go from there.
