    Harrington & Richardson model #676

My apologies for looking ignorant but I'm having trouble dissecting this whole friggen Cali roster list thingy of legal/non legal firearms. So can someone let me know if this older H & R revolver in .22 lr / .22wmr is okay to own here? I couldn't even find this manufacturer on the damn list---- is that a bad sign?

    Thanx in advance,

    RB

Since it's a double action it can't be imported into the state nor shipped to an ffl in Kali.
However it IS legal to own and do a ppt at any 01 ffl.
The H&R revolvers are great guns, I own a few.

My Rosetta Stone translated this to mean that if it's already in the state, then I can purchase & own it legally. But if it's in Fontuckey, then it can't be brought here legally by any method?....

Could you explain what you mean about double action not being permissible?

So if I re-read that fricken list correctly, it's telling me that out the multi thousands of different types & models & calibers of handguns made over the last 150+ years, only 1350 of them are now allowed into this joke of a state? AYFKM? I'm beyond friggen flabbergasted how all this crap came to be. No wonder we're the laughing stock of the world, and now I'm totally ashamed and embarrassed that I was even born here.

          Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh......

            Straight from Ca. DOJ website...

Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale

Effective January 1, 2001, no handgun may be manufactured within California, imported into California for sale, lent, given, kept for sale, or offered/exposed for sale unless that handgun model has passed firing, safety, and drop tests and is certified for sale in California by the Department of Justice. Private party transfers, curio/relic handguns, certain single-action revolvers, and pawn/consignment returns are exempt from this requirement.
