I just called HK customer support and they said the HK45 is currently being testing to comply with the California regulations so they can be sold here. She expected them to be released sometime between August and October.. good news!

So HK45 is gonna have loaded chamber indicator and mag disconnect safety?
I can't see them sliding by on a gimmick like Glock appears to have done on the 21SF.

I saw a sign at Turners Riverside on Monday that said the Glock 21SF's were pulled because they are not California approved

Weird they're right on the list, newly approved 06/15/2007.

The Glock 21SF is available in two different configurations; consisting of an ambidextrous magazine release version and a standard magazine release version. The version that is CA approved is the Glock 21SF with a standard magazine release, not the ambi. It turns out that the Glock 21SF order for Turners was botched somehow and the stores received the version with the ambi mag release. At least this is what I was told.
Hope this helps,

Are you talking about the HK USP .45?

No, the HK45 is a different animal altogether.

The Glock Model 21SF that's CA approved has the non-ambi mag release and the Glock rail.
The Glock Model 21SF with the ambi mag release and pictanty rail frame are not CA approved.
Turners recieved the non-CA approved Glocks and had to pull them.sigpic

More than Turner's received the non-CA approved 21SF's.Comment

Hmmm... maybe HK will submit them along the sames lines as being "similar" to the USP .45. I know the Compact model will be almost identical, and since the G21SF is approved (sort-of), I will hold out hope for a HK45 full-size...he he heComment
