Congrats! Great gun. One of the best feeling compacts. If its your first make sure to get some training in before u carry and practice too. Have fun!

Of course. I don't plan on carrying until I feel confident in my abilities. Otherwise would just be irresponsible.

None taken, don't worry. It's a real liability having people CCW who are undertrained and out of practice, so I completely understand your concern.

                  You'll enjoy it.

the m&p is my favorite platform, i'd really like to consider a compact model for summer CCW but not sure if it would be too big to conceal. i've got a smaller frame, and it gets way too hot in the summer in the valley to wear anything but a t-shirt most of the time.

                      Congratulations
I am sure you will grow to love this pistol. I think it is great.
After you have become comfortable with it you might consider the Apex Tactical
Kit. A lot of folks have installed the kit and rave about the improvement in the trigger as a result.

I am somewhat jealous. I had absolutely ZERO luck getting a California approved
version through Bud's I gave up and had a local FFL who is a friend find one for me.

Im on my phone so I'm not sure where you're from, prk in Fresno was selling these for $499 plus fees. There's also another shop here in Fresno that has them for $499 a&a firearms. I bought my m&p9c from buds about 5 months ago for $541, I wish I would have waited because the $85 ffl transfer fee killed the savings.

Funny you mention, because they have an entire section for CA DOJ approved handguns. I don't think all of them are on there though.

Not sure if I'm going to go with the Apex parts just yet. Plan on keeping it stock, for the first couple hundred rounds.

Thanks for the link. Makes it tons easier to ask my local ffl to get close to or match that price.
