Glock 21 SF

I am going to purchase a xd .45 down the road but was looking recently at a .45 glock. My local shop had a Glock 21 2gen in but it got sold before I got there to take a look a it. My friend keeps recommending the SF model. I keep trying to find one to actually see up close but none locally. Is it that its trying to mimic the Glock 17/22 angle or is it just slightly reduced from the 21 size.

And of course are you G21 owners happy with your purchase?

Northern sonoma county. In any case, do most of you like the 21 grip or do you own the SF? I sorta figure that the SF is probably best if I'm loving my 17's feel but I never found the hump in the grip annoying.

I have a 20, 21, and 30 SF. I do appreciate the SF frame, but others don't find it a compelling feature.

it makes a big difference for me. The reality is it's a very small change from the 21 and has to do with how far the trigger is to reach. To me it's still kinda big and clunky but way better than a normal 21.
I also have the 30sf and since it accepts the 21 mags I kinda find my 21sf collecting dust.

Yea I mean I wouldn't mind getting an SF model since its till on the DOJ list until June or something like that. Is are 10 rounders just as available and does it take the 21 mags? I want to make sure if I jump into getting an SF model that I can find the 10 rounders I need.

the mags are the same, my pre-ban 13 rounders fit just fine.

Thats good to hear. I figure that most of you guys keep the stock barrel? Everyone at my local gun club is huge on reloads and this isn't going to be anything but a HD pistol. I use my G17 for range and HD because its cheap to shoot. They were saying that octagonal isn't as accurate as an afterma

I think they are plenty accurate, don't shoot lead in them. I have a Wolf barrel on mine so i can shoot lead.

Yea that's what I figured as well. And the fact it uses octagonal, is that what most pistols in .45 use? I've actually never looked to much into this caliber until my best friend got a 1911. Didn't kick nearly as much as I thought.

pretty sure Glocks are the only ones making octagonal, i could be wrong but I'm fairly sure.

Stock barrels are plenty accurate, just don't shoot lead. I usually carry the 30SF and love the gun, though I am looking forward to swapping a G36 slide on it to reduce bulk (the 30 has a heavy/chunky slide).

I'm confused, you're going to get a glock 36 slide and it will fit on your 30sf??? The 36 single stack slide will fit on a 30sf, I want details, i never heard that.
