magazine inserting problem

Everytime I pop a loaded mag..it gets caught on a metal piece...is this common

It gets caught on the rim of the bullet..preventing it from going all the way in

Now that I think about it..isn't this how rim firing works??

It causes the rim to get dented and chipped

what metal peice? What the hell happened to that peice of brass? How many times have you chambered that round?
