I would give SA a call and see if you have one of the early models. If you purchased it used that would be my guess. For a cheap fix you can get a 50 cal ammo can and it will keep the moisture out. Place some silica desiccant in there with it and you should be fine. I would line the inside with cloth so it doesn't wear the on the finish if you only have the XD gear holster.

My save is FILLED to the gullets with silica packets. Every time I get a package, the wife gets new shoes, I find em at work, they end up in my save. Then I spray everything down with cop. So far so good. I did have some slight rust on a slide of a used gun, so I sent it to technique to get it duracoated. Ill post pics as soon as I get it.
