BattleComp on a AR pistol

Does anyone have any experience with a BattleCom muzzle brake on an AR pistol platform? I personally have the 7.5" and just ordered a 2.0 to try out. My original idea was to go with the "Flaming Pig", but figured the BC can always be used on one of my carbines it if doesn't work out. All of the feedback I found is from carbine and longer lengths.

Any issues with back-pressure, or lack thereof? I'm using the Gun Smoke buffer kit.

Have a friend running it on a 11.5" with standard buffer kit, and it's been great so far. He converted from the a2 bird cage and said there was a huge performance gain in the recoil.

Yes, I have a BC 1.0 installed on my 9.25" AR Pistol and it works great. Before when using the original muzzle brake, the pistol was real loud and some people next to me thought I was firing a 308. After putting the BC on, the muzzle blast/noise is reduced and I don't have any issues with back pressure as far as I can tell. Although you can probably tell minor differences when using hotter rounds like XM193 compared to a .223 round.

I'm planning on building a new upper for my AR pistol as well, so I'm subscribing to keep options open. I'm currently running a Pig on my 7.5 build, and after some minor tweeking, it's finally running with ALL types of ammo/bullet weights.

Funny you mentioned the Dragon Head

I actually have a Dragon Head on my other 7.5". Haven't fired either one yet. I was waiting to get my 2nd one up and running before I take them both out for a test fire.

I have a Battle Comp 1 on a 7.5 pistol & let me tell you it works great but man that thing is loud & bright lemme see if i can find the pics of me using it @ 3gun .

I just picked up a Claymore for my 7.5 after reading up on KX3, BC, Levang and Claymore. Hopefully I made a right choice, well see in couple of weeks.
