You could put the G19 vs just about anything in a thread title and you'll get the same responses.

    G19 FTW!

Everything I've read (like a few online reviews) says the Cougar is reliable and acceptable accurate.

Personally I prefer my farms to have an unauthorized user bang disable switch, i.e. manual safety, and frames made of metal. An LE range master posted the results of KBs from several different frame types on another forum, and metal frames, even aluminum ones, tend to allow less injury to the shooter than plastic ones.

'Sides, Glocks just feel funky in my hand and confidence is a large part of the battle.

From all accounts as good or better than the parent Beretta.

                Glock 19.

                Also...
Stoeger Cougar = not on approved list. So, it's harder to get in CA.

                Beretta owns Stoeger.
Beretta had poor sales on the Cougar series.
Beretta discontinued the Cougar series, so that they could concentrate their resources on the PX4 Storm series.
Beretta shipped all the tooling to Stoeger.
Stoeger now makes the Cougar series.

                  Do you drive a Volvo?

I can show you accident photos and reports of how they're safer when you crash. Maybe we should all drive Volvo's.

Statistically the Volvo is safer, especially since commercial vehicle such as your truck do not have to follow the same safety guidelines as passenger vehicles.

My analogy was just to show that not everyone drives, or wants to drive a volvo simply because they're safe. The same goes for polymers.

Variety is the spice of life, so...

Cougar for sh*ts and giggles.... if you already have a proven fighting gun like a Glock.

That is, if you intend to use it for fighting. If not, whatever floats your boat.

The Volvo might be a safe car when hit by another passenger car but not when smashed by a huge truck. They can only take so much abuse. Back on the topic I wouldn't mind having a Cougar just for fun but not a nightstand gun.

                              I love my Beretta Cougar.

It is still on the CA DOJ approved list.

                              And priced right: http://www.summitgunbroker.com/8040F_Cougar.html
