Buying a handgun

California's laws on handguns are very complicated and I was wondering if any of you calgunners could help me on an issue. I would like to buy an Arcus 98 hi power clone, but it isn't on the approved list. I have heard private party sales aren't affected by the list; and the gun I want is from a private party seller on gunbroker. Would I be able to legally buy this firearm? Thanks

Only if the private party seller can transfer to you Person To Person.

Correct; also, it would require that the gunbroker seller be a California resident. PPT does not work for interstate transfer.
