Glock 30, 21, 17 help!

So awhile ago i bought a Glock 19 but heres the funny part i got a GSSF membership so i could get it cheap. But i found one used and now i have a GSSF membership that i spent money on and don't want it to go to waste!

I need a glock..another one.

So i only have 30 cals mainly, 30 carbine, 30-06, 9mm, 380, makes cleaning simple. So looking at glock i am trying to figure what to get, now that i have my 19 for home defense/CCW(when/if i get one) i am looking at what glock has to offer. The 17 and 26? small 9mm dont really tickle me but i dont have a 45 and think it would be cool to have one. The 30 and 21 look interesting, the 30 looks cool but i already have a compact glock for HD and i am perfectly fine with my 19 with night sights and shinny TLR-1.

I am looking at the Glock 21 Vented for target shooting and perhaps competition and was wondering what people think about them over the non vented version for such use? I refuse to buy 40s as 9mm and 45 will fit all my needs and the only other 45 i would want would be a 1911 which i plan to get some day.

I have a G19 that i use to use for CCW, now its my toy. I recently picked up a G30 and set it up for my carry. Trigger Job, KKM Match barrel, Titanium Striker, Titanium Safety Plunger, Spring Kit, Extended Slide Stop, Extended Take Down, Titanium Pin kit, and Heinie Slant Pro Night Sights. Works well. I love it.. At night it gets a TLR-2 Clipped on and sits on the night stand...

Get a G30.. you won't be disappointed. I am next going to get a KKM Conversion barrel for 10mm...

Ported, not vented, Glocks are not legal in IDPA, and put you into Open Division in USPSA. For entry level competition, the G34 is your best bet.

I have a Glock17 that I purchased about 10+ years ago for range shooting and HD (1st hand gun) and then this year I started upgrading it with a few items. And then I just picked up a Glock30 a couple of weeks ago for a compact high power HD and range gun to back up my 590A1.

Took both hand guns to the range last week...it had been a few years since I actually shot the 9mm and both guns were very nice. Still need to get some additional rounds thru the 45 but initial visit with it was good...I was a little nervous since I never shot a 45 before but the Glock made me feel right at home.

I have both a 30 and a 21. Personally, I love them both. But if you are not planning on attempting to conceal it, I say get the 21. I like the way that the 21 feels better than the 30 because it is a little heavier. But honestly, you should probably shoot em both (or at least handle them) and judge for yourself.

IMHO, in 9mm Glock is "Best of Breed". 17, 19, 26, 34 you can't go wrong.

In .45 ACP I'd look into a 1911 style pistol. In .40 a Sig or HK.

...the single action trigger on the 1911 is very, very hard to beat or duplicate.

You got it backwards. .45 for hd/ccw, 9mm for competition.

I have a G30 for hd/ccw I just bought a G34 for competition.

Calgun members heavily influenced my decision but all things considered it was a good one.

But a G19 was my first glock many years ago.

Stop beating around the bush and get a Glock 20. 4 calibers, one gun, pure awesomeness!

Stick with the 9mm. Still waiting for the G34gen4 to come out to complete my collection.
