    Blackhawk Serpa vs. Sidearmor

Ive always been happy with my serpa holsters, but I came accross the Sidearmor site.
Are they worth the extra money? Im not storming any beaches anytime soon, but I will use it. any issues with fitment? anyone have any thoughts or concerns?

I have a SA loaded if that matters.

I have a Sidearmor holster for a Sig 226. They are very well made, no fitment issues. They are however made of a much thicker sheet of kydex than my comp tacs and raven. That combined with the modular belt attachment makes them quite bulky. I also find it diggs into my hip bone a little but that might be just me. Great build quality with a few small issues to be aware of depending on what you are going to use it for.

I have both a SideArmor and a Serpa.

What pipboy said is true, SideArmor uses a much thicker sheet of Kydex and it is rather bulky. I slightly reformed the belt attachment to better fit me and now it works just fine. That said...

I prefer the Serpa. To me it's a cleaner design and has a higher level of finish. Add to that the substantial weight savings over the SideArmor and the level 2 retention (not all Serpas have this, I know).
