What's the best ammo to go with before I use re loads??

Also..what's a good holster??

For SD/HD you'll likely want Federal HST or something comparable. Some will say any bonded JHP, but the Federal HST have a good record of working.

If u have a Wal-Mart close by, get the Federal Champion stuff to practice with. For defense use, get the Federal HAT mentioned above.

I've heard you should shoot atleast 200 rounds of premium ammo before using reloads or hollows.

So their is a walmart near me..which ammo should I pick up fo range use??

Also..does ammo go stale?

My dad gave me some hollows a few years back..would they still be safe to shoot?

I've only shot reloads out of my Sig since I've bought it. There's no difference between a reload and a new round if it was reloaded properly. Factory reman ammo is perfectly fine to use.

Hollow points can have feeding issues, but this is usually in some 1911's. I don't think you'll have any problems no matter which ammo you choose. Just buy what's on sale and shoot more of it.

Old ammo is safe to shoot so long as it's not corroded or leaking anything. A few years is nothing... If you find ammo from WWI then you may want to inspect it..

not open till 645 either, even if it was 10-24hour periods
